Malaysian News--HONG KONG: Actor Julian Cheung, 54, revealed a hilarious tidbit about his wife, Anita Yuen, 54, and their son Morton, 18.
8Days reported yesterday that Cheung gave fans an insight into their family dynamics on a recent episode of Chinese singing reality show Call Me By Fire.
"Whenever my wife scolds our son, it feels like she's scolding me too," said Julian, drawing laughter from his co-stars.
He continued: "I'll get quite annoyed, really wanting to retaliate."
Julian confessed that he ultimately, in most cases, is subdued by Anita and that she's the one who calls the shots at home.
He revealed that Anita has always been the strict parent, and whenever she loses her temper, he would team up with Morton, becoming "brothers in distress".
Julian also revealed Morton recently did an internship on the set of Chinese singing competition show Singer 2025.
His son's experience allowed him to better understand things from an intern's point of view.
He said: "Now, when I look at the staff of Call Me By Fire, every person who brings a massage chair in is my son. I'm very polite to them! Thank you!"
"I seriously wonder if Anita was the one who made him work here during the summer so he can keep tabs on me and make sure I don't retire," Julian jested.
