Malaysian News--KUALA LUMPUR: Matrix Concepts Holdings Bhd's Australian subsidiary Matrix Development (Australia) Pty Ltd has completed its flagship luxury residential project, 333 St Kilda, marking a key milestone in the group's international expansion.
Located 7km from Melbourne's central business district, the mixed-use development comprises 78 boutique residential units and three ground-floor retail outlets, blending high-end urban living with lifestyle convenience.
The project's completion was commemorated with a rooftop event held on the building's sub-penthouse terrace, attended by stakeholders, community members and dignitaries.
They included Foreign Affairs Minister Datuk Seri Mohamad Hasan and Matrix Concepts founder and group executive deputy chairman Datuk Seri Lee Tian Hock.
Also present were senior representatives from Matrix Australia, architectural firm Rothelowman Architects and main contractor Balmain & Co, alongside buyers, investors and members of the local St Kilda community.
Lee said the project was not without its challenges, including pandemic-related lockdowns, rising construction costs, interest rate hikes and increased taxes.
"Despite these headwinds, the team delivered the project five months ahead of schedule, with premium quality and modern amenities," he added.
He also hinted at the possibility of future collaborations with Balmain & Co.
Set on a 2,000-square-metre site, 333 St Kilda features two basement car parks equipped with electric vehicle charging stations, and offers residents access to St Kilda Beach, popular cafés, restaurants, bars and retail outlets.
Building amenities include a state-of-the-art gym, media and video conferencing rooms, a private dining kitchen and a rooftop BBQ terrace with panoramic views of Port Phillip Bay.
The project was developed in partnership with Melbourne-based builder Balmain & Co, ensuring timely delivery and adherence to high construction standards.
Since its entry into the Australian market in 2015 with a boutique apartment development in Carnegie, followed by a land subdivision in Greenvale, Matrix Concepts has steadily grown its footprint in the Greater Melbourne area.
333 St Kilda is the group's third completed project in Melbourne.
It plans to further expand with new developments in the Melbourne CBD and long-term investments in hotels, student accommodation and co-living spaces.
