China News -- The State Administration of Radio, Film and Television of China requires that hotel televisions play in full screen or enter CCTV-1 programs with just one click after turning on.
The General Office of the State Administration of Radio, Film and Television of China and other departments issued a notice on Monday (September 29) regarding the standardization of hotel television services and the strengthening of hotel television management.
Notification requirements: Strengthen the implementation of standards, and relevant entities should continue to consolidate the achievements of complex management of hotel TV operations, such as watching live broadcasts when the hotel TV is turned on, no advertisements when turned on, and watching TV with one remote control.
Notification requirement: To achieve full screen playback of CCTV-1 directly after the hotel TV is turned on, or to enter CCTV-1 with one click by pressing the remote control, in order to simplify the operation of hotel guests watching TV to the greatest extent possible.
The notice requires the use of compliant cable TV, IPTV, or satellite live channel signal sources, and prohibits obtaining live channel services through service providers who have not obtained permission from the broadcasting and television administrative department.
Notification requirements: Operators and hotels are required to strengthen their security awareness, proactively conduct security self inspections in accordance with technical requirements, strengthen regular monitoring and risk assessment, enhance security levels during major holidays and events, promptly rectify security risks discovered, and deal with illegal broadcasting and other network security incidents immediately, and report to local public security organs and radio and television administrative departments.
