The report states that Su Jiesheng's remarks come at a time when US India relations are becoming increasingly tense.
On August 6th, Trump imposed additional tariffs on Indian exports to the United States, citing India's "direct or indirect import of Russian oil" as the reason. Trump said that India is still selling Russian oil in the secondary market and making large profits.
